On September 28, 2026, an online meeting entitled “Organization of Modern Library Services in the Libraries of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur: Innovative Approaches and Development Prospects” was held by the Azerbaijan National Library named after M.F. Akhundov.

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the organization and management of modern library and information services in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, promote the effective use of information and communication technologies, expand the implementation of the Koha Integrated Library System (ILS), and exchange professional experience and perspectives on future development.

During the meeting, particular attention was given to improving access to information resources, integrating traditional and electronic library services, and introducing modern technologies to enhance library operations.

Participants also exchanged views on coordinating library activities within a unified information environment, optimizing human resources, improving collection management, and ensuring high-quality services that meet users’ evolving needs.

The online meeting was attended by representatives of the Centralized Library Systems of Aghjabadi, Barda, Jabrayil, Gubadli, Zangilan, and other districts in these regions.
