“Poetry days” – Joint project of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, ILESAM-Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan National Library and Azerbaijani Writers’ Union

On October 13, the next event was held within the framework of “Poetry days” project jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, ILESAM-Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan National Library and Azerbaijani Writers’ Union in the Open Library operating under the National Library.

The guest of the event was – Sheki origin poet-publicist Joshgun Garabulud, living in Turkey. Also, head of department in the Ataturk Center Akbar Goshali attended the event.

Deputy Director at the National Library Adiba Ismayilova welcomed the guests and gave brief information about the project. Then, Khayal Rza – the press secretary of the Azerbaijani Writers’ Union welcomed the guests, introduced the VI guest of the “Poetry Days” – Joshgun Garabulud, Sheki origin poet living in Turkey, to the participants. The poet performed his poems.

At the event, the poet Akbar Goshali spoke about the life and work of the Sheki origin poet Joshgun Garabulud, the poetess Nazila Gultaj performed poems from Joshgun Garabulud’s book named “Hardan haraya…”. Johgun Garabulud performed a number of his poems.

The event was also attended by the guests came from Turkey and the pupils of the 3a class, No.7 secondary school named after M. Rahim.

Poet-publicist Joshgun Garabulud answered the questions of children with great pleasure, expressed his gratitude to Lala Gurbanova, teacher of the 3a class, No.7 secondary school named after M.Rahim and donated inscribed book to her.

At the end of the event, the author donated his books to the Open Library, and they were photographed.
