On April 17, 2026, the teaching staff and students of the Information and Document Management Faculty of Baku State University visited the National Library to ознакомиться with the traditional and virtual book exhibition titled “Library Science Scholar Elchin Ahmadov,” dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the prominent library scientist, educator, PhD in Pedagogy, Head of the Library Science Department of the Information and Document Management Faculty of Baku State University, Associate Professor Elchin Ahmadov.

The Director of the National Library, Professor Karim Tahirov, Deputy Director Adiba Ismayilova, Head of Department of the Information and Document Management Faculty, Associate Professor Knyaz Aslan, and students spoke about the scholar’s creative activity and shared their thoughts.

The resources displayed at the exhibitions attracted the students’ interest. These included the official document on awarding Associate Professor Elchin Ahmadov the “100th Anniversary of Baku State University (1919–2019) Jubilee Medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan” for his high achievements in the development of science and education and his active participation in the socio cultural development of the university, as well as his monographs on theoretical and practical problems of library science and information sciences, textbooks and teaching materials, articles published in periodicals, numerous fundamental scientific studies, conference materials, books where he served as reviewer and editor, and literature about his scientific activity in Azerbaijani and foreign languages.

Library science scholar Elchin Ahmadov expressed his gratitude to the staff of the National Library for organizing the exhibitions.
