At the 41st Istanbul International Book Fair, book presentations and literary discussions continue at the Azerbaijani stand.

On November 3, the second day of the fair, the presentation of the book “We Are With You, Türkiye” was held.

Moderator of the event, Secretary of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union Salim Babullaoglu, provided information about the publication, noting that the book was prepared by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and is dedicated to the devastating earthquake that occurred in Türkiye on February 6, 2023, which resulted in more than 50,000 deaths and tens of thousands of injuries.

The anthology brings together poems by well-known poets from Turkic states and the broader Turkic world.

During the presentation of the special issue of the influential Turkish magazine “Heca” titled “Modern Azerbaijani Poetry,” it was noted that the issue was compiled and introduced by Salim Babullaoglu and translated by Ömer Kiçikməhmədoğlu. It features works by prominent Azerbaijani poets such as Rasul Rza, Ali Kərim, Fikrat Qoca, Nurangiz Gun, Vagif Samadoglu, Alakbar Salahzade, Isa Ismayilzade, Ramiz Rovshan, Vagif Bayatli Odar, Adil Mirseyid, Zahid Saritorpaq, Rasim Qaraca, Elxan Zal, Hamid Herischi, Azad Yashar, Salam Sarvan, Gulu Agses, Salim Babullaoglu, Zahir Azamat, Aghshin Yenisey, Jala Ismayil, Rabiga Nazimgizi, Qismet, Farid Huseyn, Aghshin Evran, and Sakhavat Sahil.

It was also noted that the monthly magazine “Heca” has been published in Ankara since 1997.
