The bibliography book "Mikayil Abdullayev" from the series "Prominent personalities of Azerbaijan" was prepared by the National Library of Azerbaijan.

The bibliography dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Mikayil Abdullayev who was one of the founders of the Azerbaijan painting school, a valuable representative of our national art, People's artist of Azerbaijan and the former USSR, laureate of the Jawaharlal Nehru International Prize, member of the Russian Academy of Arts, contains full information about the rich creativity of the outstanding brush master.

The materials in the bibliography prepared in order to convey the multifaceted creativity of the artist to a wide readership cover the period of almost 80 years from 1943 to 2021. Mikayil Abdullayev's books, catalogs of his works, articles published in periodicals and collections, reproductions of his works, materials related to his life and creativity are collected here. In this bibliography, compiled in Azerbaijani and Russian languages, the materials are listed in chronological order, and internally they are grouped in alphabetical order.

The sections "Mikayil Abdullayev in world libraries" and "Mikayil Abdullayev in world university libraries" in the bibliography reflect the picture of the promotion of the artist's valuable heritage at the world level and help the reader to form a certain idea.
