After the Armenian armed forces fired rockets at our lands on September 27, 2020, our army started a counter-offensive that lasted 44 days. On November 10, a trilateral Statement was signed, which showed our military and political victory and Armenia’s capitulation. According to this Statement, Kalbajar was freed from occupation on November 25 without any fighting. By the President’s order dated July 31, 2023, November 25 is celebrated every year as “Kalbajar City Day”.

On this special day, the National Library prepared a virtual exhibition called as “25 November – Kalbajar City Day”.

The virtual exhibition shows official documents, photos, and information about the history and geography of Kalbajar city, as well as the rebuilding and construction work there. It also includes books, articles, and other materials about the Patriotic War and the Great Victory, available in Azerbaijani, Russian, and English languages.
