An exhibition called "People's artist Seyid Shushinski" was opened in the National Library

Seyyid Shushinski, an outstanding singer, musician, pedagogue, People's Artist, one of the greatest figures of Karabakh singing school, was born on April 12, 1889.

The environment of Shusha, the cradle of the art of singing, played a decisive role in Seyid's recognition as a professional singer. Having a rare and beautiful voice, Seyid Shushinski first studied for two years with Mir Mohsen Nawab to learn the secrets of the art of singing. Jabbar Garyagdioglu had a great influence on his development as a singer.

Sayyid impressed the listeners and famous singers with his high-range voice and ability to sing mughams correctly and fluently. The mughams "Chahargah", "Nava", "Bayati-Isfahan", "Humayun", "Rast", "Mahur", "Zabul", "Shahnaz", "Mirza-Huseyn segahi", "Mani", "Arazbari" were sung by him. ", "Mansuriyya" percussion mughams have a unique place in our musical treasury as unique works of art.

On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the birth of Seyid Shushinsky, who played a very important role in the development of the national musical culture of Azerbaijan, a large book exhibition called "People's artist Seyid Shushinsky" was opened in the National Library.

Books dedicated to the singer's life and work are displayed in the Azerbaijani and Russian languages.
