April 7 is the birthday of Chingiz Abdullayev, a famous writer of Azerbaijan, a master of the detective genre, whose works are known not only in our country, but all over the world. He was born in 1959 in an intellectual family in Baku.

The writer's first major work - the novel "Mavi mələklər - Blue Angels" was published in Baku in 1988. Later, a trilogy was published - "Əclafların qanunu - The Law of the Bastards", "Əclafların əqidəsi - The Belief of the Bastards" and "Əclafların vicdanı - The Conscience of the Bastards".

Chingiz Abdullayev is the author of more than 200 books with a total circulation of 30 million copies. His works are enjoyed by readers of all ages all over the world. His books are sold in many countries of the world, Germany, Ireland, France, Russia, etc. It was published in mass circulation and translated into 32 languages.

For his services in the development and promotion of Azerbaijani literature, he was awarded the honorary title "People's Writer of Azerbaijan" and the Order of "Glory", as well as many prestigious international awards and medals, as well as numerous literary awards.

A large book exhibition called "People's writer Chingiz Abdullayev" was opened in the National Library on the occasion of the birthday of the people's writer.

The exhibition presents the author's works, books in Azerbaijani and other languages ​​about his life and creativity, where he was an editor, reviewer, wrote a foreword.
