READ JAPAN PROJECT The famous Nippon Foundation of Japan donated books about Japan to the foundation of the National Library

15-04-2024

READ JAPAN PROJECT is a book donation project implemented by Japan's famous Nippon Foundation since 2008. The main goal of creating the project is to provide books about Japan in English on various topics to universities and libraries in different countries of the world, thereby expanding the promotion and awareness of Japan. Within the framework of this project, books have been donated to more than 1,200 educational and scientific institutions from around the world. The aim here is not only to support scientists and researchers who study Japan, but also to help ordinary people who are not specialists to increase their knowledge and understanding of Japan. For the first time, the National Library of Azerbaijan benefited from this project, which has been applied to a number of educational institutions in Azerbaijan for several years, and was provided with interesting books about Japan upon request.

We think that these books on various topics about Japan will take their rightful place in the collection of the National Library and will become a valuable resource for users to learn about Japan.

The books cover topics such as Japan's political and international relations, economy and business, society and culture, literature and art, as well as history.

This project is organized by the think tank Tokyo Foundation for Research Policy, with the financial support of the Nippon Foundation.

The Nippon Foundation is one of Japan's largest foundations serving the public interest, mainly in the maritime field, but also in various welfare and public services.

The Tokyo Foundation for Research Policy is a free and non-profit think tank, a research center engaged in observing and analyzing critical issues in society.
