A presentation ceremony of books and CDs dedicated to the outstanding composer of Azerbaijan, People's Artist Firangiz Alizade was held in the National Library.

On June 2, the National Library hosted a "ceremony of presenting books and CDs dedicated to F. Alizade" within the framework of the "Music Festival" held on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the outstanding composer of Azerbaijan, people's artist Firangiz Alizade.

Director of the National Library Professor Karim Tahirov opened the event and greeted the participants. He said that today is a holiday of music and art studies at the National Library. The director noted that book presentations are always held at the National Library, but today we gathered for a completely different presentation - the presentation of the works of Firangiz Alizade. K. Tahirov emphasized that everyone knows and loves Mrs. Firangiz. He said that while watching the film dedicated to Firangiz Alizade, which was shown at the Composers' Union a few days ago, I once again witnessed the magnificence of her creativity. Mr. Karim noted that "Music Festival" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Firangiz Alizade is being held from May 31 to June 4. The main goal of the festival is to once again present the multifaceted creativity of the outstanding composer to music lovers within the framework of the anniversary.

It was emphasized that F. Alizade successfully promotes our national culture far beyond the borders of Azerbaijan with her creativity. Firangiz Alizade's works are recognized both in her homeland and beyond its borders, and have become icons of contemporary music of Azerbaijan.

The director noted that Firangiz Alizade was awarded the "Artist of Peace" award of UNESCO for her long-term effective activity in the development of musical culture. Congratulating Mrs. Firangiz on this occasion, he wished her new successes in her creative work. At the end of his speech, the director said that as long as the people of Azerbaijan stand, the works authored by Mrs. Firangiz will live and will never be forgotten.

Then a short clip dedicated to the creativity of Firangiz Alizade was presented to the participants.

Chairman of the Union of Composers of Azerbaijan, People's Artist Firangiz Alizade made a speech and expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Library for organizing the event. She stressed that the National Library is a very familiar, sacred place for us, because our student years have passed here. She noted that today we are already living the 3rd day of the festival, during these days concert programs, film screenings and various events were held. Then she gave detailed information to the participants about the presented CDs and books. And she noted that a concert program will be held at the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic tomorrow.

Secretary of the Union of Composers of Azerbaijan, Honored Worker of Arts, Professor Zemfira Gafarova gave a speech and expressed her gratitude to the management of the National Library. She noted that as the Union of Composers, we have participated in the presentation of books and music collections at the National Library many times. Today, we gathered at the presentation ceremony of books and CDs dedicated to Firangiz Alizade within the framework of the "Music Festival" held on the occasion of her 75th anniversary.

It was noted that the active musical and social activity of Mrs. Firangiz was always highly appreciated by the Azerbaijan state and she was awarded numerous awards. Z. Gafarova said that these books and CDs are considered masterpieces of her creativity.

In the continuation of the event, Honored artist, doctor of science in art studies, professor Imruz Efendiyeva; Docent of the department of musical art of Nakhchivan State University, Ph.D. in art studies, Gunay Mammadova, and others congratulated Firangiz Alizade on her jubilee and wished her new creative successes.

In conclusion, the guests got acquainted with an extensive exposition of books stored in the National Library fund, covering the life and work of Firangiz Alizade.
