Within the framework of the preventive measures carried out in the Republic due to the coronavirus risk, direct service to readers has been temporarily suspended in the National Library since March 11, 2020. However, the staff of the National Library continues to provide library-information service to users online. Online services of the Library have been further improved by the staff and users have been informed about this. Currently, the following online services of the Library are available:
Bibliographic survey, Order of documents and e-delivery, Virtual exhibition, Methodical service (for libraries).
The staff of the National Library is working hard. Users write the resources they need to the online services of the National Library and their request is answered in a short time. From March 11 to 31, 659 users were provided with electronic document delivery service through the online services of the National Library. During this period, the users were provided with 1,800 books and 4,200 articles. The number of users of these services has increased significantly. Overall, 225 825 users visited the website of the Library over the past 20 days.
Over the past 20 days, the staff of the library prepared 4 virtual exhibitions. In connection with the Year of Volunteers, a group of volunteers in the Open Library operating under the National Library, since March 13, continues to provide readers with videos and short reviews of books in the library through the Library's Facebook page.
