In 2022, it will be 130 years since the birth of Ahmad Javad (Javad Muhammadali Akhundzade), a prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature, a great poet, a well-known educator and public figure.

Due to his irreplaceable position in the development of Azerbaijani literature and public opinion, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev signed the Decree "On the celebration of the 130th anniversary of Ahmad Javad". As stated in the decree, “Ahmed Javad is one of the masters of the word, occupying an exceptional position in the history of the literary and artistic thought of Azerbaijan, distinguished by his unique handwriting as a poet of independence.

The work of the master, who remained true to the ideals of the independence of his native people, to which he was attached with all his soul, was woven from a national ideology rich in motives of freedom. It is an amazing poetic expression of patriotic feelings in the works of the poet who passionately glorifies the national symbols of Azerbaijan with high poetry and instills love for independent statehood."

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Action Plan of the Ministry of Culture on the celebration of the 130th anniversary of Ahmad Javad, an electronic digest named "Ahmad Javad - 130" was prepared by the employees of the National Library of Azerbaijan named after M.F. Akhundzade.

In the presented digest - ("digest" means "summary", "collective" in translation from English) articles published in periodical press pages in 2018-2022 about Ahmad Javad were analyzed and selectively presented to the attention of users.

The main goal of preparing the electronic digest is to familiarize a wide range of users with the published materials about the poet's life and work, and his immortal legacy. In the electronic digest, articles are listed by year, and internally in alphabetical order.
