A large book exhibition titled “Fatali Khan Khoyski – 150” has been presented to users at the National Library

Fatali Khan Khoyski, one of Azerbaijan’s prominent state and political figures, a founder of the independent Azerbaijani state, and its first Prime Minister, was born on 25 November 1875 in the city of Shaki.

Fatali Khan Khoyski was an outstanding representative of a devoted generation of intellectuals who, from the early 20th century, honorably fulfilled their difficult mission in the movement for the freedom and independence of the Azerbaijani people during a period of national and cultural revival. As an open-minded, courageous, and patriotic personality and a great statesman, he consistently played a leading role in the struggle for Azerbaijan’s independence and was among the signatories of the historic Declaration of Independence.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 17 September 2025, “On the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Fatali Khan Khoyski,” a large book exhibition titled “Fatali Khan Khoyski – 150” has been showcased at the National Library.

The exhibition features literature in Azerbaijani and several other languages on the state-building process of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, its foreign policy, military development, and legislative activity. It also presents materials on the life and work of Fatali Khan Khoyski, including the diplomatic negotiations he conducted as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, his parliamentary speeches, and his state-building initiatives.
