Elchin Efendiyev, who is recognized by the Azerbaijani society as an outstanding people's writer, public figure and literary critic, has a unique place and position in the scientific-literary and social environment of our country with his multifaceted creative activity. Elchin is one of the main creators of the most recent period of Azerbaijani artistic prose, the dramaturgy of the transition period and the stage of independence, and literary criticism of the last half century.

On May 13, one of the great representatives of modern Azerbaijani literature, Elchin Efendiyev, turns 80 years old.

On the occasion of the anniversary, the staff of the National Library prepared a traditional book exhibition called "Elchin Efendiyev-80".

In the exhibition, the works of People's Writer Elchin in Azerbaijani and foreign languages, books compiled, edited and prefaced by him, abstracts of defended dissertations on creativity, translations and books written about him are displayed.
