The virtual exhibition called "Mostafa Chamanli" was presented to users online in the National Library

On the 10th of September marks the 75th anniversary of the birth of Mostafa Chamanli an outstanding prose writer, publicist, honored cultural worker.

M. Chamanli started his artistic creativity in his student years. His first story called "Lapirlar" was published in 1973 in the newspaper "Mingachevir ishiklari". The writer's historical novels, which are the result of long researches, have been included in the list of the most read books by readers. The novel "Khalli Gurza" has been published 5 times with a large circulation and has taken its rightful place among historical novels.

One of the most valuable services of M. Chamanli to our people is the books he created about prominent artists who have contributed to the culture and art of Azerbaijan. "Singing memories" (memoir-narrative about Abulfat Aliyev), "Khan of the world of Mugham","Soul of Voice" (about Sakhavat Mammadov)," "Good reading" (about Shavkat Alakbarova),"Traces of an artist's life" (about Khanlar Hagverdiyev), The works "Leyli and Majnun - 100 years on stage" (documentary-artistic encyclopedia), "Art stories" are the result of such hard work. He is the text author of the album books such as  "Arif Babayev - 70", "Habil Aliyev - 80", "Alibaba Mammadov - 80", "Alibaba Mammadov: The heart says, live still..." "People's artists of the Republic of Azerbaijan" Akbarov - 70", "Agakhan Abdullayev - 60" from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. In addition, he is the author of dozens of books and the author of the foreword.

In 1993, M.Chamanli was awarded the "Star of Dan" award of the Press Foundation for promoting the art of national music performance, the diploma of the Writers' Union for his speeches on the front line and military-patriotic articles, and the "Yaddash" national award for the historical novel "Khalli Gurza".

He was awarded  with the special prize of the newspaper "Kaspi" for the story  of "Ugur" – 2008, "Mubariz" of the Center for the Promotion of National Culture, and with the "Golden Word" literary prize (2013) for his historical novel "The Angel of Death".

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Mostafa Chamenli, a virtual exhibition called "Mostafa Chamenli" was prepared by the employees of the National Library of Azerbaijan named after M.F. Akhundzade. Books, articles, and books written about Mostafa Chamanli are displayed in the virtual exhibition.
