In the National Library, a virtual exhibition called "Minorities living in Azerbaijan" was presented to users

14-04-2022

Azerbaijan is a multi-ethnic and multi-religious country where the national policy is based on the traditional tolerance and harmonious coexistence of different ethnic and religious groups. Along with Azerbaijani Turks, mountain Jews, Tats, Talish, Kurds, Molokans, Ingiloi, Sakhurs, Avars, Lezgis, Khinaligs, Budugs, and Grizs live in its territory. Although the representatives of the mentioned ethnic groups consider themselves Azerbaijanis, each group has preserved elements of its own distinct culture. This culture is reflected in domestic life, crafts, cuisine and various ceremonies.

The National Library of Azerbaijan has prepared a virtual exhibition called "Minorities living in Azerbaijan" in order to demonstrate the culture of minority peoples living in our republic. In the virtual exhibition, books, articles and photos on the literature, culture and traditions of the few nations were presented.
