Today marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Mashadikhanim Nematova, doctor of historical sciences, correspondent member of ANAS, well-known epigraphic scientist awarded with the "Shohrat" order (Order of Glory). Mashadikhanim Nematova was born on January 5, 1924 in Baku.

During her 60 years of scientific activity, M. Economic-political, socio-cultural, history, architecture, art studies, philology, Islamic philosophy - Sufism, toponymy, ethnogenesis, etc. enriched the historiographical base of Azerbaijan with a large amount of new, sometimes even the only accurate documents on such problems.

M. Nemetova published more than 12 monographs, 200 scientific articles, including the 6-volume "Collection of Epigraphic Monuments of Azerbaijan" as a result of her scientific activity.

In this regard, the employees of the National Library of Azerbaijan prepared a traditional book exhibition called "Mashadikhanim Nematova - 100", an epigraphic scholar.

The works of the scientist in the Azerbaijani and Russian languages, the works of which he was the editor, the reviewer, and the articles published in scientific journals are displayed in the exhibition.
