A virtual exhibition called "November 8 Victory Day" was presented to users in the National Library

06-11-2023

November 8 is celebrated as Victory Day in Azerbaijan.

On September 27, 2020, after the next act of aggression by the armed forces of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan used the right of self-defense provided by the UN Charter to force the aggressor to peace and to put an end to the occupation of Azerbaijani lands.

Under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, our army achieved a great victory in the 44-day Patriotic War. In 44 days, our victorious army wrote an honorable history and a heroic chronicle. One of the most glorious pages of our history of honor and pride was November 8, the day when Shusha was liberated from occupation. According to the Order signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on December 3, 2020, November 8 is celebrated as Victory Day in our country.

On the occasion of the Victory Day, a virtual exhibition called "November 8 Victory Day" was prepared by the employees of the Azerbaijan National Library named after M.F. Akhundzade.

In the virtual exhibition, the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the establishment of Victory Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan, photos, articles published in periodical press pages on the subject, books in Azerbaijani and other languages dedicated to Victory Day and the martyrs of the Patriotic War are displayed.
