On August 28, 2025, an online meeting was held at the Azerbaijan National Library with Nabil Saadallah, Strategic Product Sales Manager of Innovative Interfaces (part of the Clarivate family), and company representative Lyaziza Mukasheva.

During the meeting, plans for the future transition of the National Library to the Sierra automated library management system were discussed. Nabil Saadallah provided detailed information on the advantages of the Sierra system, optimization of library services, and new opportunities that will be offered to users.

The leadership of the National Library shared their suggestions regarding the processes to be considered during the implementation of the Sierra platform, as well as possibilities for adapting the system to the local library network.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan National Library is currently using the Virtua system. The planned transition to the Sierra platform is considered a continuation and a more advanced version of Virtua.

The meeting was regarded as an important step toward the development of mutual cooperation.
