On April 7 a signing ceremony of tripartite Cooperation Memorandum was held between Azerbaijan National Library, The Institute of Manuscripts of AMEA and National Library of Morocco at Azerbaijan National Library. The director of National Library prof. Karim Tahirov opened event and greeted the guests. Speaking about relations of National Library Karim Tahirov noted that this Cooperation Memorandum was 31st and Morocco is 3rd Arabic country after Egypt and Jordan that National Library cooperate with. Speaking about relationship between two country,  specially cultural relations Karim Tahirov noted the importance of Memorandum that will be signed. Book, ancient editions, exchange of manuscripts, the exchange of experience of professionals, organization of book exhibitions, probation, holding of conferences was included in the Memorandum.

Then Cooperation Memorandum was signed among the three parties with being 3 original copy in Azerbaijan, Arabic and English.

After the signing ceremony, the director of the Institute of Manuscripts acad. Teymur Karimli gave short information about the institute he manages, and indicated that Funds will be enriched by this signed Memorandum.

While giving information about his Library, director of Morocco National Library, prof. Driss Khrouz noted that more than 30 000 rare manuscripts, and recollection of tourists who travelled to Europe are preserved. D. Khrouz who emphasized that Morocco people had a very little information about Azerbaijan, and he invited his colleagues to lecture about the themes of Azerbaijan history, culture, literature, poetry and so on.

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Azerbaijan Hasan Hami spoke shortly about the relationship between two countries, presenting the books of his authority, and books of Morocco poets translated into Turkish to National Library, he hoped that the next books would be in Azerbaijani language.

The director of Egypt Cultural Center doc Əhməd Sami Elaydy said that he was the reader of National Library, and he considers the Library the native home, and hoped that the relationship will be made with other Arabic countries.

At the end  of the event the participiants got acquainted with the book exhibition about Morocco.
