On June 1, a ceremony was held to present bibliographic indexes published by the National Library of Azerbaijan to the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS.

Academician Isa Habibbayli, president of ANAS, speaking at the event, said that the National Library of Azerbaijan, which has a rich heritage, is one of the leading libraries of our country today and provides excellent service to its readers with its modern, constantly improved electronic catalog. Today  the National Library of Azerbaijan is one of the main libraries that our scientists and intellectuals turn to. Thanks to the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, the National Library has maintained its national status and today is an example of the organization of library work in our country.

Pointing out that the National Library presented 479 books of 104 titles published in 2016-2023 to the Institute of Literature, the head of ANAS said that the presented books will serve as a valuable source for the future research of our scientists and will serve the development of Azerbaijani science.

The director of the National Library, professor Karim Tahirov, said today that the main goal of the library is to promote the achievements of our country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev on a global scale. Stating that the presented books will serve the development of Azerbaijani science, K. Tahirov expressed his gratitude to the management of ANAS and the participants of the event for the high value given to the activity of himself and the National Library of Azerbaijan.

Then professors Gazanfar Pashayev, Imamverdi Hamidov, Doctor of Philological Sciences Abid Tahirli and Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Ismikhan Osmanli spoke about the contributions of the National Library of Azerbaijan to the development of literary science in our country.
