The Khojaly genocide entered the history of Azerbaijan as one of the most terrible and tragic pages. The tragedy of the 20th century, the Khojaly genocide, is the result of the criminal Armenian policy. This tragedy, which happened at the end of the 20th century, is one of the heaviest crimes directed not only against the people of Azerbaijan, but against all humanity.

In connection with the thirty-second anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, an event-exhibition dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Khojaly tragedy called "The Tragedy of the 20th Century - Khojaly Genocide" was organized in the Open Library-free reading section of the National Library. At the event held with the participation of 4th course students of "Faculty of Information and Document Management" of BSU, discussions were held about the Khojaly Genocide, which is a terrible example of ethnic cleansing policy of Armenians against the people of Azerbaijan, which has been going on for centuries. The young people got acquainted with books, brochures and photographs printed in different languages, which reflect the historical facts about the massacre of the century, and shared their thoughts about the horrors of the genocide and the reasons for its occurrence.

At the same time, in the virtual exhibition called "Khojaly Genocide" prepared by the employees of the National Library of Azerbaijan, there are books and periodical press materials, photos containing the Khojaly tragedy, in the virtual exhibition "Khojaly genocide" presented in English, books and photos with subtitles in English, "Khojaly tragedy” - In the virtual exhibition called "photo exhibition", photos reflecting the pain of Khojaly are displayed.
