The opening ceremony of the traditional book exhibition "44 Days of Glorious Victory" and the presentation of the book "The City of the Unfortunate"(“Talesizlər şəhəri”) was held in the National Library.

On November 7, the National Library of Azerbaijan held the opening of the traditional book exhibition "44 Days of Glory" and the presentation of the book "The City of the Unfortunate" "(Talesizlər şəhəri)” by Rafiga Sadighova.

First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played and the memory of the children of the Motherland, who died for our territorial integrity, was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Director of the National Library of Azerbaijan Karim Tahirov opened the event with an opening speech and gave detailed information about the book exhibition "44 Days of Glorious Victory" opened at the National Library in connection with the third anniversary of our historical Victory.

November 8 - Victory Day was written in golden letters on the pages of our history by the brave Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief.

Later, the presentation of Rafiga Sadighova's book "City of the Unfortunate" "(Talesizlər şəhəri)” took place. It was said that the book reflects the bitter scenes of the war, and the importance of wide dissemination of books written on that topic and the role of the National Library in this field were brought to attention so that these heroisms would not be forgotten.

MP, writer, publicist Agil Abbas said in his speech that he was proud of the historic victory in the Patriotic War and that the events were written with great skill by the author.

Bakhtiyar Sadigov, deputy of the Milli Majlis, editor-in-chief of the Azerbaijan newspaper, said in his speech that the nation, which had fallen away from the book, was defeated, and felt a sense of pride on the occasion of the Victory Day. In the book, he praised the spirituality of the Azerbaijani people and emphasized the importance of raising and educating young people through books written on this topic.

At the end, the guests got acquainted with the book exhibition.
