The National Library presented a virtual exhibition called "Ali Tude - 100"

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the poet who lived and created with feelings of freedom and longing for the South Azerbaijan.

He was born on January 31, 1924 in Baku. The poet, who lost his parents as a child, grew up under the care of his grandmother.

Ali's poems were published in newspapers when he was 13 years old. But this pleasure does not last long. The bloody repressions that started in the 30s of the last century changed their fates and ways. Ali is exiled to Iran with his grandmother. Immigrant life is his destiny.

The national liberation movement that began in Iran in the 1940s opened a new page in Ali's life. The poet called the people to fight with his poems written in the national spirit.

In addition, Ali Tude established the National Philharmonic in Tabriz for the first time in the history of Iran. He wrote in his book "Öz gözlərimlə (With my own eyes)": "This was the first philharmonic opened not only in Tabriz, but in all of Iran.

My qibla is the Motherland - the poet said, the longing for separation was in his roots and he remained faithful to the theme of longing for the Homeland and the South Azerbaijan throughout his work. The great poet Ali Tude, who worked tirelessly on the path of poetry, left a legacy. "Cənub nəğmələri (Songs of the South)", "Məhbusların son sözü (The Last Word of the Prisoners)", "Arazın o tayında (Beyond Araz)", "Qəzəb (Anger)", "Təbriz yolu (The Way of Tabriz)", "Mühacir qeyrəti (The Immigrant's Zeal)", "Mənim səsim (My Voice)", "Yarımçıq dastan (The Unfinished Saga)" - in short, the author of more than 40 books took place in our literary history.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary, the staff of the National Library prepared a virtual exhibition called "Ali Tude - 100".

The virtual exhibition displays photos, articles published about him in periodicals, books he authored and books written about him.
